The McGowan House is open for tours May through September on Saturday afternoons and other times by appointment. Family and group tours can be arranged in the off season.

Where can I best find information on the McGowan house? I have grandchildren with the McGowan name and am wondering if there is any connection?
Much of the information we have on Dr. WE McGowan’s family is described on the website. Dr. McGowan has few, if any living descendants, and none that we know of. There is a chance that your grandchildren could belong in a collateral line of course. You are welcome to visit the McGowan House Museum at 507 Main Street, Friendship, WI 53934, open on Saturdays 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
