House Tour Two - Restoration
(page one)

February of 1993, and the roof is finished! During this time it has become too cold to start any major outside projects, so much of the work is being done inside the building. Furniture is being replaced and fund raising activities are started towards the funding needed to set up the archives and office area.

In the spring, more of the outdoor renovations begin. Underneath the old siding was the original wooden clapboard siding, most of which was in good shape and as we wanted to expose and restore this siding, the newer siding was removed.

As the weather improved, so too did the house. Most of the old siding is off and work begins on the trim and windows. Society members worked on the house weekends, and work progressed quite well. Notice the copper colored metal around the third floor attic window. They are stamped tin panels and would have to be thoroughly cleaned and repainted.
