House Tour Two - Restoration
(page two)

Some of the major projects of the house were handled by contractors. Here the front walk and stairs are going in. You can also see the repair that needed to be done on the front deck. The support for the deck had rotted considerably, and new frame work was installed. You can also see one of the distinguishing features of the house, the elaborate jigsaw-cut tracery porch. It extends across the full width of the house.

The basement begins to take shape. The electrical service has been installed along with the other utilities. Great care was taken to insure that the house not show any of these modern advancements. Here a Society member is helping with some of the construction clean up that was required. About this time an outside cellar door was added so the office could be accessed for moving large items in and out, i.e.. the refrigerator in view.
